Komodo’s peak diving season — particularly from June to September, fills up very quickly each year. These months often bring fantastic visibility, excellent conditions in the north of the park, and some of the most reliable marine life encounters.

In early 2026, Komodo National Park introduced a daily visitor quota system as part of ongoing conservation efforts to protect the park’s extraordinary marine biodiversity and natural habitats.
The park now limits the number of visitors entering Komodo National Park each day. As part of this system, permits must now be secured in advance and are linked to specific travel dates. This makes Booking Komodo well in advance even more important.
What this means for travellers is simple:
